Avner Ronen Phd. – CV
1965 – Technion graduate in Mechanical Engineering
1965 to 1969 – IDF Ordnance – Acceptance Testing of automotive engines.
1968 to 1970 – Technion Graduate Studies. Thesis – Abrasive wear of ICE bearings
1969 to 1976 – Savkal Ltd. – Chief engineer of a 27 hp Wankel Rotary Engine.
1969 – Working in NSU Germany on Wankel engines.
1976 to 1979 – Technion PhD. Thesis – Abrasive wear of hydrodynamic bearings under dynamic loads.
1978 to 1979 – IDF Ordnance, Engine laboratory. Working on the testing plan of AVCR 1360 engine for Merkava.
1979 to 1982 – Curtis Wright USA - Development engineer of 1,500 hp, multi fuel, Rotary Engine.
1982 to 1986 – Advisor to Carmo Ltd. (Savkal) Israel regarding Rotary engines.
1990 to 1995 – Special advisor to Elbit – Silver Arrow regarding development, production and reliability of rotary engines for UAVs.
1982 t0 2010 – Rafael Ltd. – Launchers and Trophy active protection System (retired on 2010).
2010 – Entrepreneur and Owner of AMRP, developing a multifuel (including CNG), advanced modular rotary propulsion engine.

1967 to 1972 – Mechanical design engineer in Canadian Marconi Montreal.
1972 to 2021 – Elbit Systems Israel
Head of Mechanical Engineering Dept.
Program manager of the Gun and Turret Electrical Drive Systems of Merkava.
Program Manager of MBT upgrades for Europe and India
General Manager of an Elbit start-up that developed an electric motor for GM Electric Vehicles (1998 to 2001).
Elbit Systems Land (ESL) - VP of special projects (Retired in 2011).
Advisor to ESL on AFV upgrades in the Philippines (To 2022).
